Holy smokes has it been a week!
I’m currently writing this post from our new home in Bozeman, MT. We didn’t have too many adventures or trying new places this weekend as we used it to move and make our new home livable.
We applied for a place about two weeks ago and we figured we would get it, we just weren’t sure how long it would take as the approval process here is a lot more intense than back home on the east coast.
As cool and cozy as our cabin was, I am so happy to be near civilization again. Being home all day working a remote job, I was going a little stir crazy. Our cabin was pretty remote in the mountains, so we needed to be careful of bears, mountain lions and whatever else is out there.
Our landlord/neighbor actually shot and killed a mountain lion in the past because it killed his chickens and was starting to stalk their dogs.
After hearing that and everyone telling us about the wildlife, I did not feel comfortable going for runs or taking Cassie for walks. I also watch so much true crime that I would freak myself out walking around alone… in the woods.
Our Home
Anyways, I have to say, this was the EASIEST move I’ve ever done in my life. My poor brother always gets wrapped up in helping me with my moves to new places but luckily for him he was too far away to help! 🙂
Our place isn’t fully furnished yet, but it’s livable and coming along. I was going to wait to post pictures, but I know everyone has been eager to see our new place.
Before writing this post, I was trying to think of some of our favorite things about the place but there are so many! Jake and I have tried out the gym and peloton bike area which are both awesome. I’ve never tried peloton before, but I can definitely see what all the hype is about because I’m obsessed!
We brought Cassie to the dog park for residents, and I haven’t seen her that happy since we left Maine. She had the biggest smile on her face playing with the other dogs. She is also obsessed with running up and down our stairs which is so cute.
Jake and I plan to go play with the sports simulator tonight. I plan to kick his butt, but we’ll see.
The funny thing about our walk-in closet is that the top shelf and ceilings are so high that I had to get a step stool to reach the top shelf! I don’t think that has ever been a thing for me. Anyone that’s pretty short would probably need a ladder or not use the shelf at all.
Also… I bet no one can guess what’s behind the blue curtain in kitchen! Take a guess in the comments below.
Sorry for the shorter post tonight and no reviews on food or adventures but it was a busy week getting all our paperwork in to be approved for the apartment and then additional things we needed to do before moving in after getting approved.
I’m sure next week, we’ll have all kinds of adventures to share! 🙂
