The Escaping the Everyday blog was created to break free from the normal day to day routines. Sometimes we can get stuck in waking up, going to work, coming home, eating, going to bed and repeating it all the next day.
We all should be embracing life and doing the things we truly love. This could be anywhere from going on a little adventure after work or going on a weeklong trip! It might take a little bit of sacrificing on what you spend your money on, but you don’t have to be made of money to get out and do some of the things you love.
What is a bucket list?
A bucket list is basically a list of experiences and/or places you want to visit. Your list could include anything from professional to personal items. It’s a different way to plan out your future and get excited about some of the things that lay ahead!
Just remember that your bucket list could look completely different from others and that’s okay.
Do you need a bucket list?
No, not necessarily. It’s just a fun way to list out goals in your life. Again, this could range from completing your first 5k, visiting a new state, or getting a promotion at work.
A bucket list isn’t for everyone but a fun exercise to do. It can give you something to look forward to or help you achieve those goals!
That being said, I wanted to share our bucket list for the rest of 2024 and for 2025!
Our Bucket List!
Vancouver
Vancouver is supposed to be a beautiful place to visit. There would be a ton of places to visit whether we decided to go in the winter or warmer months. We could ski or hike and visit different places in the city as well. When we get closer to our departure date, we’ll have more of an itinerary on what we want to do. I’ll be sure to share that!
Salt Lake City, UT
The trip planning for Salt Lake City has already begun! We are planning to visit in mid-October to watch the Boston Bruins play against Utah’s new NHL team who was formerly the Arizona Coyotes. They relocated and renamed the team when moving to Utah. It’s about a 6-hour drive from us, which surprisingly isn’t that far.
Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park is in northern Montana about 6 hours away from Bozeman. This national park has always been on my bucket list, even before I met Jake. That being said, we just have to plan out this trip in the future. If you’re curious what it looks like, click the link below. The views are absolutely beautiful.
Grand Tetons National Park
To be honest, I don’t know much about the Tetons, but I have heard that it’s an awesome place to visit especially for hiking. We are perfectly content with any place that has hiking and food!
Palisades Tahoe
The Palisades in Tahoe has been on our bucket list since we recently purchased Ikon Ski passes for the 2024/2025 season.
When we were doing some research on the Palisades, we noticed there were a decent amount of blue and green trails which was a huge plus! I haven’t ventured to black diamonds but hoping to soon!
Denver, CO
Denver has been on my bucket list for a while as it would be a great place to visit whether you are skiing or hiking! We just might go there twice to experience both.
Trail Running Race
Only a week away from our first trail running race! There’s a 5k and a 10-miler option on July 27th. On July 26, there’s the 3rd annual roller ski race which seems pretty cool! I never knew this was a thing until a couple weeks ago when I saw someone on roller skis.
Our two-year travel plan included most of these places from our bucket list but since we now live in Bozeman, it’ll be a lot easier to travel to these destinations.
Jake and I plan to check a lot of these spots off our list, so subscribe below so you don’t miss out!
